I went riding again Sunday morning to enjoy the bike and to get some pictures of where I went down 2 weeks ago an Richard B Russell Scenic Hwy. Funny, they are repaving the road now. There are several patches where the road has been recovered, hopefully as a start. I can't see where it would be a good thing if they are just going to leave it like this.
Here are a few pics of the corner where I lowsided 2 weeks ago today. The first one you can see all of the gravel on the side of the road. Of course the dark asphalt gravel was not there then, but the lighter gravel was, thats what I slid on. There are marks in the grass coming off of the road as well, not sure if one of these is mine or not, but it lines up with where I ended up. I could tell I wasn't the first one to be in that situation in this curve. The bike stopped about 20-25 feet behind where she's parked in the second pic.
I found a piece to my broken fairing still on the side of the raod. You can see it also in the second pic toward the bottom center of the picture.
